OUR MISSION

For many mission organizations in the field today, the customary method of helping those in need is large social endeavors raising money to provide funds for numerous programs that are thought to ultimately change the circumstances of the people with whom they are involved. The TYC’s (Tumaini Youth Center) first priority is submitting our time and resources to the Lord for His glory and providing for the children in our care. We are helping to present these orphaned and vulnerable children with spiritual, physical, educational, emotional, and medical support. One of the main concerns of the TYC (Tumaini Youth Center) board and staff is allowing these individuals and this organization to become financially self-sufficient.

TYC board and staff want to reflect God’s attributes. Our Heavenly Father has given to the members of this organization blessings, and we wish to give similar spiritual gifts back to the children in our care. We must never let social elements of this ministry hinder the sharing of the Word. The primary focus of our work is the sharing of the gospel of salvation to our beloved children. These efforts will simultaneously take place but all is grounded on God’s Word the Bible. The social benefits will follow

1. Just as God the Father has chosen his children before the world began we have only recently chosen and begun our involvement with the children in our care. Our commitment to these youngsters is far short as to what God has decreed that our relationship be with Him. However, we are devoted to our charges through relationship with God. Our involvement with these children is genuine by the Lord’s sovereign degree and not man’s efforts alone.

2. God the Son must also be honored because of His sovereignty enabling all of our endeavors to be Christ-centered. As Christ died and made atonement for his children redeeming/sanctifying them unto Eternal Life. We too must endeavor to present the children in our charge to education of God’s Word which may lead to salvation. We will provide life’s necessities of food, clothing, education, and medical care to enable the children to live, as well as possible, in their immediate surroundings.

3.  God the Holy Spirit saves his chosen people unto himself. We too. Will show His children a way of life not relying on their street initiatives to live, but on a new founded life structured on the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

God the Father gave us the Redeemer who accepted the price of this redemption by dying on the cross for his chosen people. The benefits from this heavenly sacrifice purchased for us by Jesus Christ for his elect has been bestowed on them by the power of the Holy Spirit unto their salvation. We are humbled to be used as tools of the Holy Spirit to impart this knowledge to the children in our care.
